You may need to complete a TIME AUDIT | Cozy Corner Chronicles

Happy Sunday Reader!!

Have you ever felt like you had a lack of control of your time? That was me this week. With back to back doctors appointments for the fam, countless unnecessary meetings, and getting the urge to complete change up the look of my cozy productivity streams, some days I just didn’t know wether I was coming or going.

With this new week, I really need to get a better handle on my time. So here are two things I’m tackling today in order to get back on track:

  1. Completely updating my Notion(tour of the changes coming soon but watch THIS ONE in the meantime).
  2. Complete a time audit

Now what’s a time audit you ask ? It’s a simple productivity hack to really see where your time has been going and make changes (if needed) to get the most out of your time. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Take a look at your past week and write out all the things you did. Yes that includes sleep, work, and your social media scrolling (Yup, I admittedly scrolled way to much this week too).
  2. Write out what your "Prefect Week" would look like. I like to use an old planner or even GCal to do this. For example it would look like this : 8am - wake up/morning routine 8:30am - walk the dog 9am - work 12pm- lunch/walk dog and so forth. Again include things like sleep, rest time, and work commutes in here.
  3. Compare the two weeks and see where you can adjust to get close to your "Perfect Week". Could you spend less time scrolling so you can get your morning walks in ? Maybe your night routine could start earlier so you feel less sluggish in the morning?
  4. Commit to executing your "Perfect Week" ! I like to revisit this method at the start of every month or when I have a major life change happen. *ahmmm* like having a six year old at home all summer lol.

Now you may have noticed I put "Perfect Week" in quotes and that’s because WE ARE HUMAN. No week is always going to be completely perfect. You will get thrown off, a major project will come up at work or the kiddo would randomly get sick.

The goal isn’t to aim for perfection but to have an idea of where you want your time to go and having flexibility for when life happens. It’s a baseline to swerve back to if and when you fall off track.

Reply back to this email when you give time auditing a try! I would love to hear where you found some extra time in your week.

This week I chatted about my experience using the Kindle for one year! (Still can't believe it's been a year!) Tried a new causal style of editing too. Give it a watch and let me know what you think!

Fall is right around the corner and Bath and Body Works already have their fall scents on their site! I can't WAIT to get my hands on this Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll Candle.

Notion recently dropped Notion Sites. A easy and free way to create web pages. I'm still playing around with this one but trust I will report back on if this is something you should check out. I am actually working on trying some "Notion dupe" apps that may be a bit easy for beginners.👀 I can't wait to share my findings with you!
